Not telling my age!
It started as a simple recipe for pound cake. A southern staple at any time of the year!
Then I stumbled upon an article about the wonders of The Meyer Lemon!
The Meyer Lemon is a cross between a lemon and a mandarin orange!
Gotta Love that!
Well anyway, I was already using lemon and orange in my recipe, so why not give it a try? Oh my goodness, trying to find a Meyer Lemon in Atlanta was like squeezing my size 16 butt into a pair of any sized Gloria Vanderbilt's! You get the picture, right.
Anyway I found them in an Atlanta Market and quickly set about making the best pound cake ever! Well,as they say, the rest is Southern Pound Cake History!
